This is a close up view of what an Argentine Mesquite branch looks like. It closely resembles some kind of medieval weapon. This tree, while not indigenous to Arizona, grows in the desert environment quite well. This kind of mesquite tree is planted for its quick growth and drought tolerance. From my investigation I have found that most Argentine Mesquite can be found in the Ahwatukee, Mesa, and Gilbert areas. | |
